Daily Update--Sept.26/11

In ELA, the students are working on their "Evidence of Learning" illustration. They have been given an outline describing the criteria. This is due either Wednesday or Thursday. We will also be writing a unit test on Vocabulary Unit 1 words on Thursday so the students should be reviewing the words every night. Go over definitions, synonyms, and be able to use the words correctly in their own sentences. Their first IRP reading response is also due by the end of the week. If for some reason they need the weekend to complete it, they need to speak to me before Thursday.

In Math, we did not correct the work that was assigned on Friday because the Gym Riot happened today during our Math class.

In Science, the students need to try and catch some grasshoppers for their dissection.

In SS, I introduced their first project which is a personal timeline. A handout with the criteria and the marking rubric was handed out. The students need to make a list of important events that have happened in their life so far and discuss these events at home to gather information.
