I would like to say thank-you to all the students for a year of learning together, and getting to know all of you. I enjoyed teaching you, and wish you all the best in grade 9.
Tomorrow you can pick up your report cards starting at 9:00am.
Some students have left their work in the classroom, and I would appreciate it if they would remember to pick it up tomorrow.

Daily Update--June 27/10
Tomorrow we need to complete a few things. Students are still presenting their oral IRP's--telling us about the most recent books they have read.
We need to tally up the number of pages that the students have read in total this year. I also have one more activity to do with them in terms of their reading--something fun.
Students need to collect their projects that are still in the room, including their Bio-poems which are hanging in the room.
I also want to give the students something as a year-end presentation.
Students also need to complete their portfolios if they did not finish them on Friday.
I will be asking the students to complete an evaluation of the year--activities, assignments, projects, etc., as well as an evaluation of me.
We have cleaned out the lockers so that is done.
Tuesday is our Awards Day Ceremony, and parents are invited to come. It starts at 10:00am.
See you then!

Daily Update--June 24/10
We had a great time today in the city. The tour of the Legislative Building was interesting and only 1 hour in length which suited the students , I think.
The line ups at Fun Mountain were long but we had fun.
For tomorrow, the students will have half an hour to work on their shields and one other project. The projects should then be handed in.
We will work on the ELA brochures for half an hour and if some are done they should be handed in. If some need the weekend to complete them, that will be fine.
We will be working on our portfolios tomorrow, as well as cleaning out our lockers. We hope to show the students a movie tomorrow as well.
