Remember to bring in your two signed tests tomorrow. You also need your permission slip if you are planning to go watch the movie in Winkler.

Daily Update--Dec.17/08

ELA--Christmas writing is due tomorrow.
--There were a number of students who forgot their mobiles at home today. They MUST be in school tomorrow.
--You are working on your essay as well.

Math--We did not have time to correct yesterday's assignment, so make certain that it is completed. Worksheet 3.6 #4,#5 a and b,#6,#7 and b,#8 a and b,#9 a and b, and #10 a and b. The Math tests were returned today, and they must be signed and returned tomorrow.

Science--We wrote our test today.

SS--SS tests were returned today. Parent signatures are required, and the tests must be returned tomorrow.

Tomorrow we will be having our Christmas party. Part of it will be with just our own class, and part of it will be with all grade 8 students. 8T needs to remember to bring their Secret Santa gifts tomorrow. If anyone would like to bring some munchies for the movie, they can do so. We will plan a pizza party for the new year (our reading party for reading 25989 pages in November) .

ELA--Your second book project should be handed in and you are now reading for the third project. You need to be working on your character mobile--due Wednesday.--Complete jot notes for your essay and start working on your outline.-Get vocabulary test signed. Work on your Christmas writing which is due Thursday.

Math--Worksheet 3.5--#3, #4, #5 in problem format, #6 a,b, and c, #7, #8 a)i and b)i and #9 a and b. This is due tomorrow.

Science--Continue reviewing for the unit test which is on Wednesday.

Health--Have the article read and write the critique for next Health class.

Give your parents the December letter and return the bottom portion to me. Secret Santa started today. We decided that we would bring a small gift (about $1.00) again on Tuesday and Wednesday. The final present (about $4.00) would be given on Thursday.

Tomorrow is also red and green day so dress in those colours to show your school spirit.

SS--I hope you have been preparing for this test since last Wednesday. Update your study log and have all of your study material in school tomorrow because it is part of your test and you need to hand all of it in tomorrow.

ELA--All cover jackets were handed in today and entered in our Cover Jacket Contest. Winners will be announced as soon as the judge has made his/her choices.
--A mobile assignment has been handed out and is due by next Wednesday. This needs to be done at home. There is a written section to it as well.
--By Wednesday,have a choice made as to your essay topic.

Math--Correct your mistakes from today's multiplication worksheet. Rewrite your journal entry if necessary. Finish your worksheet on adding and subtracting fractions for tomorrow.

Science--The Naked Egg observations and conclusions are due Wednesday.

SS-Continue "Studying by Doing" in preparation of Wedneday's test. Update your study log daily.
