ELA--Students wrote their chapter 11 and 12 comprehension test today. The only homework they have now is to work on their second book project which is due either by Thursday, Dec.22 or Tuesday, January 10 (if they want to work during the holidays). They are also working on the cover jacket for The Outsiders. They are entering this in our class contest, and it is due January 13.
Math--We started fractions today. 6.1 worksheet was assigned in class.
Tomorrow I will be going sking with the students. They need to be at school by 7:3o so we can board the busses and leave by 8, the latest. Those not sking will have regular classes. On Thursday, the grade 8 students will be going curling in the morning (after the pancake breakfast) and it will cost $2 and the yellow permission form needs to be signed. If they would like to go to Winkler in the afternoon to watch a movie, it will cost $10.00, and a pink permissson form needs to be signed and brought to the office. If they remain at school, acitivities will be happening here as well.
