Daily Update--Feb. 12/07

ELA--The majority of essays were handed in today. There are a few people who need to finish it up tonight and hand it in tomorrow morning.
--Students should be working on their next reading response which is due by Monday, as they will be selecting a new book on Monday. This will be the book they will read for their next book report.

Math--Due to the presentation today, we were unable to correct Friday's assignment. We will do that tomorrow. Students can go over conversion of fractions to % to decimals as they will have their third mini quiz on Wednesday.

Science--The unit test on the Circulatory System will be written on Friday of this week. Students were given a checklist on Friday, with a worksheet to be completed by tomorrow. They are also working on a sample test worth 40 marks which should be handed in either tomorrow or Wednesday. This will give them an opportunity to go over their notes, transfer the notes into questions and they must know the answers to the questions they ask. I will then photocopy the tests and students can exchange with classmates and have another format from which to study. We talked about "how to study" today--atleast 30 minutes each night, study by doing different things, not just reading.

SS-Worksheets and title page dur tomorrow.

Health8B--Quiz on muscle injuries on Wednesday.
