ELA--Essays are due tomorrow. Make certain a cover jacket, jot notes, all rough drafts, and a good copy are all stapled together, and ready to hand in.

--8B--Quiz on bones' scientific and common names is tomorrow.

Today we watched a documentary on the National Spelling Bee, as well as the movie,"Akeelah and the Bee" in preparation of our school's spelling bee (Grade 7&8) which will be held on Tuesday, Jan.30. The students received a newspaper package outlining the rules and lists of study words. We will be going over these words daily. All grade 8 students will participate in the spelling bee. The top 5 winners of the school will win prizes, and the top speller will advance to the regionals in Winnipeg, and then hopefully go on to Ottawa and then Washington,D.C.
