ELA--Students have one week to complete their last book report for this term.

Math--Dividing integers--page 304-304--#3,4,5,7,and in problem format--#9,11,and 16 for tomorrow.

Woodworking retest has been rescheduled for Friday, Day1.

We had a great time bowling this afternoon, and we also had cake in for Mrs. Clarke as she will be leaving us soon so the afternoon at the bowling alley was our little surprise party for her.

Remember to hand in the U of M forms and money to the office asap.

ELA--The remainder of the vocabulary unit 6 booklet is due tomorrow. You need to decide on the next book report format.

Math--Get the white Math assessment sheet signed and returned to class tomorrow.

Remember to bring your $5 and permission slip for bowling tomorrow. We are going bowling in the afternoon.

You also need to bring in the permission slip and $15 for the U of M field trip.

Math--8.2 in the textbook(page 297-299) --questions 6 and 7 (with chips/diagrams),#9,10,11, and in problem format #12 and 15, and continue with #20,22,25a and b,and #28 a. This is due tomorrow.

Wood working rewrite is tomorrow.

The permission forms and money for the U of M trip should be in as soon as possible.

Math--Worksheet 8.2 is due Monday. I handed back a white assessment quiz on adding and subtracting integers that needs to be signed and returned Monday.

We wrote the Math exam today, and it took until 12:15.
For homework, the students need to work on their SS project which will be due Tuesday as we lost classtime today due to the early dismissal.
They are also working on a design project is Science.

There are a few students with overdue assignments, and they need to get those in asap.

Homework tonight is to prepare for the Math exam. Go over the review sheets that we have been working on since last week. Go over questions from the textbook. Review the criteris listed on the checklist.
Remember to bring a calculator, pencils, erasers, and highlighters to the exam tomorrow.

Daily Update--February 7/12

We had an enjoyable trip to the IMAX theatre today. I hope the students enjoyed the movie features.

Daily Update--February 6/12

Tomorrow is our field trip to the IMAX theatre. Students should bring their lunches, and/or money, as they can buy something at the food court. We will have popcorn and a drink during the first show. Please ensure that the students dress accordingly for the bus trip to Winnipeg.

ELA--The "Evidence of Learning" assignment is due Wednesday morning. Some students did not hand in their third book report this morning. It is due tomorow morning or they will be spending noon hours with me until it is handed in.

Math--The second review exam sheet was handed out today. We are reviewing the estimating of square roots. They need to complete questions #4,5,9,10,11, and 12 a,b,c for Wednesday. Extra help is now being offered every noon hour until the exam date.

SS--Get test signed and returned to class. Complete the map assignment for Wednesday.

French--Test on Thursday.

ELA--We completed the ELA Assessment today. Now students need to work on their book report which is due Monday. Their "Evidence Of Learning" is due Wednesday.

Math--Students were given the checklist for the Math exam which is on Feb.15. I handed out their first review worksheet--#5,6,7,10,11,12 i and ii, #13 a,c,e,g and #17, 19 for Monday.

Daily Update--February 1/12

Tomorrow is our last day of the ELA Assessment. Students will be editting their rough draft, and writing their good copy. As I have told them, get a good night's rest, and eat a healthy breakfast.

ELA--They should be working on their "Evidence of Learning" illustrations. I have been editting their sentences with them. We will set a due date tomorrow for the completed assignment. Many have asked for an extension of their book report until Monday. This will be fine if they approach me with their reasonings.

Math--Worksheet 6.4 #1 to 4, #6 to 10, and # 12 for tomorrow.

French--Title page due tomorrow.

8R--SS--Map work due tomorrow.

There are many students who have not handed in their permission forms and $12 for IMAX which is next Tuesday. These should be in tomorrow.
