ELA--Anyone wanting to enter the Christmas writing in the Valley Leader, the deadline is 4:00 tomorrow. Have your vocabulary test signed and returned tomorrow. Novel assignment is due Friday. Work on your book project.

Math--Textbook page 142--#4,5,6, and, in problem format--#8 and 9 for tomorrow.

Science--Test next Tuesday.

SS--Project due Thursday.

ELA--All November reading contracts are due Wednesday. First book projects are due by Dec.10. We are working on our Christmas writing, and I was hoping some will be submitted for the Christmas writing contest in the Valley Leader. The deadline is this Wednesday at 4:00. The novel assignment for this week is a letter to be written from Ponyboy's point of view to Soda. An explanation was handed out in class. This will be self-editted and due by the end of the week.

Math--Worksheet 4.3 is due tomorow. #1,2,3 a,b,c,and e, and #4 and #5 in problem format.

Science--Yellow sheet due tomorrow. Unit test next Tuesday.

SS--Project is due this week Wed/Thursday.

I am looking forward to our interviews tonight and tomorrow. I reminded the students to please bring their portfolios and scrapbooks to the interviews.

Students have taken home their portfolios and their scrapbooks tonight. I hope you will have time from now until our interview to go through all of the material with your son/daughter. I would like the students to have the binder and the scrapbook with them for the interview.

ELA--Novel quiz tomorrow on chapter 4. Know plot and details. Vocabulary test on unit 3 is Thursday.

Math--Worksheet and quiz corrections are due tomorrow.

Health--Complete the chart on "The Types of Exercises" for Monday. Start working on your Fitness poster. It will be due next Day 4.

8V SS--Complete the Information Frame on the Stone Age for Monday. Also complete the "Caves of Lascaux" worksheet for Monday.

Remember to bring in your scrapbook if you have not brought it in yet. You also need a binder to act as your portfolio if yours from last year is not in the room.

ELA--The "A" Memoirs are due Thursday--web, rough drafts with editting evidence, and good copy. There will be no more class time given to work on this. We started writing a piece on Remembrance Day which is due by next Wednesday.

Wow! I cannot believe we are already into November. This will be a very busy month.

ELA--The students have until next MOnday to hand in their reading responses. I am hoping that each one will hand in 4 responses, if not more. Signed vocabulary tests need to be handed in. The "A" Memoirs are due by Thursday. That will be the web, all editted copies, and a good copy. Tomorrow we will be starting a new writing piece.

Math--Unit tests need to be corrected and signed. The students did very well on this test. I was most pleased by their results.

Science--Their cell model is due Thursday,and I mentioned to the students that it is not something that can be accomplished in one night, so do not leave it for Wednesday night.

Please remember to bring in a scrapbook and a binder for your portfolio if you do not have one in class.
