Daily Update--April 30/10

ELA--Rough draft of the diary entry for chapter 5 is due Tuesday. Your second book project is due Monday. Your vocabulary skit with your group is due Wednesday.

Math--Chapter review # 10,11,and 12 is due Monday. Unit test either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Sceince--Commercial must be ready to present or view on Monday.

SS--We did not start presenting out Gods and Goddesses today, so everyone must be ready with their costumes and props for Monday.

Today I informed 8T that they have been chosen to write the PCAP Assessment on Thursday, May 6. We are the lucky ones. Today,I have sent home a pamphlet which provides an explanation of the testing. If you have any questions,please feel free to contact me.

SS--Good copies due tomorrow. We are starting presentations tomorrow. Remember your costumes.

ELA--Book project is due by Monday. You are working on your vocabulary skit with your group. You have also started on your next novel assignment--a diary entry for chapter 5. Work on jot notes and the rough draft.

Math--Complete 9.3 for tomorrow.

Science--Flow rate calculations are due tomorrow. Commercial is due May 3.

SS--You should have the rough draft editted and the good copy of your God/Goddess research paper completed for tomorrow. Work on putting together your costume and practice the oral presentation. We will start presentations on Friday.

The 16 badminton players going to Portage tomorrrow should remember to bring some extra food and water to have before the tournament, and money as we will be stopping at McDonald's on the way home. We should be home by 9:30.

Math--Have your test corrected, signed, and returned tomorrow. The students did an excellent job of this last unit test.

SS--Research your chosen God/Goddess. Jot notes should be completed by the end of the first SS period tomorrow. Then work on the rough draft of the write-up--due after Wednesday's class.

Science--Commercials are due May 3.

Tomorrow after-school badminton will have a badminton tournament against Winkler in Carman starting at 4:00.

We had reached our March reading goal, so as a celebration students have chosen to go bowling. A letter will be set home shortly asking for permission and signatures. The particulars will be in the letter.

Math--Complete yesterday's assignment. Test on Friday. Continue to come in for extra help.

Sorry this is a little late, but I did not have time before we left for a badminton tournament in Elm Creek.

ELA--Comprehension questions for chapter 4 in the novel is due tomorrow. Vocabulary unit 7 synonyms and antonyms section is due Thursday. You should be beginning your next book project. Bring in a signed Vocabulary test tomorrow or you will be staying in at noon.

Math--Test review #2 is due Thursday. Unit test on Friday.

8S Health--Chart on Muscle Injuries is due tomorrow. Get test signed and returned tomorrow.

We had an interesting day today dissecting cows' eyes. I hope the students enjoyed it.

Welcome back!
I hope everyone had an enjoyable, relaxing spring break and Easter.

In ELA, the students know that their first book project for this term is due tomorrow. I also wanted the students to draw a sketch of their vision of the main character in the novel, I am David. This is due tomorrow.

In SS, the students need to finish the "Map Assignment" sheet for tomorrow.

In after school badminton, the students have a practice today at 3:45. The first tournament will be held at our school on Wednesday, April 7 starting at 4:00 and ending between 7 and 8.
