--Have your reflections piece on "Gangs" ready to hand in tomorrow.

Daily Update--Nov.13/08
ELA--Daily reading--20 minutes. We have set a new goal for our book projects. For this term students need to complete 5 to 7 projects before March. We discussed time management and use of class time to accomplish these goals. I will still be setting deadlines, and the first project should be handed in by Nov.24.
--We corrected unit 3 vocabulary and the students have started writing a story incorporating the vocabulary words. A criteria sheet has been handed out. This is due next Thursday.
Math--Get the unit test signed for tomorrow.

Daily Update--Nov.9/08
I hope everyone enjoyed their day off on Friday. Wow! What a storm of ice and snow!
When you come back to school on Wednesday, remember that you need to be prepared to write your Math test that day. We will decide if you will write in the morning or the afternoon. Any book projects which were to be handed in on Friday must be in to me Wednesday morning.
The divisional volleyball tournament has been scheduled for Wednesday, Nov.12, starting at 3 o'clock and running until atleast 6 o'clock. Have your gym clothes,especially your blue t-shirt at school.
See you on Wednesday. If you have any questions, call me at the school on Monday.

ELA--We are working on our scrapbook portfolio so students are gathering their 4 to 6 best writing pieces and reflecting on each. This is due Friday. We are doing it in class, however if students want to improve any piece or do more writing at home, they can do so.

Science--Test on the organelles' functions and the diagram is tomorrow. Use your flashcards to study. Have a lab scribbler for class.
SS--Note taking format from Monday and the first 2 pages of second handout are due Thursday.
