Daily Update--June 17/08

Tomorrow is our activity day for the Grade 8 students. Students need to remember their permission slips and $2 for tomorrow. Bring a bag lunch, sun screen, bathing suit, towel, and water for our afternoon at the park and pool.

The Math assignment on area of a circle is due Thursday.

Daily Update--June 16/08

ELA--There were a few people who stayed in at noon to work on their incomplete book reports. Those people must have their reports completed for tomorrow.
--Everyone is presenting their lines of memorization tomorrow morning. Practice tonight.

Math--Page 321--#5 (all), #6 a,b,c and #7 a,b,c; and #12 for tomorrow.

SS--Three people need to present their shields tomorrow.


We are planning an "Activity Day" on Wednesday for the Grade 8 students. Permission slips have been sent home today. Please hand in the permission slips along with $2 as soon as possible.

ELA--If students have not yet handed in their last book report, it must be in by Monday.
--Memorization of lines must be done by Tuesday.

SS--All shields must be handed in.

Daily Update--June 12/08

ELA--The fourth and final book report is due tomorrow.
--Memorize your lines for Tuesday (or sooner).
--We started our in-class essay today and all of it will be written in class during the next few days.

SS--All shields are due tomorrow.

Tomorrow is June-so-soon, if weather permits. Students need to bring in their permission slips. If the June-so-soon is cancelled, we will be having regular classes.

ELA--You are working on completing your last book report by Friday.
--The recital of the Shakespearean lines must be done before next Tuesday.

SS--We will be working on the shields tomorrow so have all material in school. The shields are to be handed in by Friday.

Science--Finish the "Density" booklet for tomorrow.

Daily Update--June 10/08

Tonight is Arts Appreciation Night at the collegiate. The Music students are asked to be at the school by 6:30. The presentation begins at 7:oopm.

I will not ask that any homework be completed for tomorrow, however if anyone is at home and wants to get ahead.....

ELA--Last book report is due Friday.
--Memorize your lines from Shakespeare.

SS--Your shield is due Friday.

Don't forget your permission slip and $2/$3 for June-so-soon.

DAily Update--June 9/08

ELA--Work on your last book report which is due Friday.
--You must choose and memorize 12 to 14 lines from Midsummer NIght's Dream. The presentation of your recital needs to be done before next Tuesday, June 17.

Science--Mass and volume questions--#1 c and d , #2 a and b for tomorrow.

SS--Make certain your cardboard is at school tomorrow so you can work on your shield in class.

Daily Update--June 6/08

ELA--If you have not done so yet,please have the log entry for Act5 written for Monday.
--Read and work on your last book report.

Math--We did not correct yesterday's assignment, so please make certain it is completed for Monday.

SS--Bring in a large piece of cardboard (35 by 50 cm) for a shield. We will be making our own Middle Ages shields on Monday.

Daily Update-June 5/08

ELA--Work on the last log entry--Act 5--which is due either tomorrow or by Monday.
--We will be watching the movie version of Midsummer Night's Dream tomorrow, so remember to bring some munchies for yourself.

Math--New unit--measurement--assignment--page 310 and 311--#3 b and c,#4 c and d,#5 a and b, #7a and #10 for tomorrow.

We presented our models of certain aspects of the Middle Ages. They were all well done;some being extraordinary. Great work,8T!!

The Science commercials were also quite awesome to watch!

--Students should be working on their fourth book report which is due in a week and a half.

Math--Get corrections done on the test and get the test signed.
