Daily Update--Sept.28/07

ELA--The first reading response should be handed in on Monday to stay on top of assignments.
--September calendar is due Monday. Let us read this weekend and reach our individual and class goals.
--The Venn diagram on the novel is due Monday.

No other homework this weekend.
We had a great Terry Fox Run/Walk today raising over $2200. Thank-you to everyone who pledged money to this worthy cause.

ELA--The vocabulary test is tomorrow. STUDY!!!!
--Work on that first reading response--due Monday.
--Your Sept. reading calendar is due Monday. Try to reach your goal and help reach our class goal.

Math--Page 18--#3,5,6,7,12, and 13. Due tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the Terry Fox Run/Walk. Please try to bring in as many pledges as possible.

We dissected our grasshoppers today and it was awesome! Thank-you to Alex and Steven for bringing them in .

ELA--Study your vocabulary words. Test Friday.

Math--Do your corrections from today's work.

Science--Catch those grasshoppers please.

7M Science--Study for your Science test on Friday.

Daily Update--Sept.25/07

I hope the students told you about our Terry Fox activities. We had a great time experiencing some physical challenges. Please encourage students to gather pledges for the run on Friday.

ELA--The vocabulary word is due tomorrow.
--Study for the vocabulary test on Friday.
--Work on your reading response.

Math--We will correct the last two questions from yesterday's assignment.

Science--Try to catch some grasshoppers for Science class.

7M Science--YOu have a test on Friday. Review a little bit every night.

Daily Update--Sept.24/07

I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

ELA--Students have a vocabulary drawing which is due Wednesday.
--Vocabulary Unit 1 test will be written Friday morning.
--The first reading response should be in no later than Monday, Oct.1. This will hopefully keep the students ahead of schedule and not scrambling to get work in the last day of the first term. They will need 3 to 5 reading responses in by Nov.2.
--Daily reading every night for 20 minutes.
--The bio-poems were handed in today and they look great!

Math--Work on G.C.F. and L.C.M.--page 14--#4, 6 a, 7, 9 a and b, and 10a due tomorrow.

Science--Try to bring in some grasshoppers (dead or alive) to class asap. Also review the microscope diagram for a short quiz next Science class.

ELA--Any bio-poems not yet handed in are due Monday.
--We are starting a new assignment in vocabulary so students can start on that.
--Keep on reading and start on your first reading response.

Math--Four questions on GCF were assigned for Monday.

Science--If anyone can catch and bring in grasshoppers for Monday, that would be GREAT!

Daily Update--Sept.19,2007

Hello everyone!

It is working!!Yahoo!!! I have had some difficulty with my blog lately, but it does look like it is working now. I will try my hardest to keep it updated with the latest homework for 8T as well as other classroom activities. I have not given this address to my homeroom students because it was not working until now. Tomorrow they will how to access this site.

ELA--The students are working on their Bio-poems which are due either tomorrow or by Monday. They have an evaluation sheet to refer to as to the requirements.
We have also begun our Independent reading program. Please ask at home about the specifics.
Students should be reading atleast 20 minutes every night.

Math--No homework tonight.

SS--A worksheet dealing with places and events is due tomorrow.

I hope students have approached you about sponsoring them for the Terry Fox Run/Walk.
