Daily Update--April 30/07

ELA--The visual representation and the log entry are both due tomorrow.
--Students need to be working on their book report which is due this week--May 2.

Math--We wrote the unit test today.

Science--We started our research project today. Students need to do some of the research at home.The project will be due within 4 class periods.

Health--8A-project due May 7; 8B--May 8.

Daily Update--April 27/07

ELA--Work on your character diagram which is due Tuesday. Look back at your criteria so you have met all requirements.
--Log entry for Act 1,Scene 1 is due Tuesday as well.
--Book report(second for this term) is due May 2.

Math-Complete the short worksheet I handed out today. Review all aspects of integers for your test on Monday. Remember to have your journal entry completed because you can have it with you during the test. It is only as helpful as you have it made it to be accurate.

Science--Begin researching your chosen Optics topic. No due date has yet been set.

Health--Your "Labels" assignment is due May 7 or 8,depending on which class you are in.

Daily Update--April 26/07

ELA--Next reading assignment (a book report) is due next week, May 2.
--I just assigned a visual representation of the characters and their relationships in the first Act in Shakespeare. A due date will be set tomorrow. Criteria was explained.

Math--PAge 206--#9 d,e,and f, #12,18 and page 213 #4,6,and 10 due tomorrow as review for Monday's test.

French --Test for 8A tomorrow.

SS-Test tomorrow.

ELA--Read and work on your book report which is due Wed. May 2.

Math--Review the questions we have done in the textbook. Unit test will be on Monday, April 30/07. Students did not want a test "hat-trick" with a third test on Friday,so Monday is the day.

Health 8A and 8B are working on their "Labels" assignment.

ELA--Everyone should have their vocabulary story's first draft completed; and for homework, they should self-edit and revise. Tomorrow we will be in the lab to make the necessary changes and revisions in order to hand in the story by Wednesday.

Daily Update--April 3/07

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a relaxing break. Sorry there was no entry yesterday but I was experiencing difficulty with the internet .

ELA--Students have started researching Wiliam Shakespeare, and have a word search due tomorrow. They have also started a timeline on the life of Shakespeare. The criteria for the timeline has been handed out and the due date is next Wednesday.
--Their first reading assignment(book report) is due next Friday, April13.
--Vocabulary tests need to be signed and returned tomorrow.

Math--Assignment--worksheet page 361--# 4,5a to f,6a,b,c, #10,13a,b,c and #16 for tomorrow.

Science--Bring in the supplies for a pinhole camera for tomorrow--an empty shoebox/kleenex box, tinfoil, and waxpaper.
