Daily Update--Nov.20/12

ELA--Begin making jot notes for the letter to Sodapop from Ponyboy. Work on your first IRP/book project for second term.

Science--Continue to review for Monday's unit test.

SS--Your project is due Thursday. Remember the model needs to in on the same day.

Electronics--Students have a test tomorrow.

Daily Update--Nov.19/12

ELA--The students have read chapter 5 of the novel, and now need to put themselves in Ponyboy's position. They need to write a letter to Sodapop from Ponyboy's perspective. Think of and record ideas to begin with, and then start writing the rough draft of the letter. Good copy is due Thursday.

Math--We were working on our portfolios today, so tomorrow we will be correcting 4.3 worksheet up to and including #7.

Science--We have moved the unit test to Monday, Nov.26. The students need to complete questions #1 to 10 omitting #7 in the Review Questions Package for tomorrow. They have been given a checklist and should start stydying tonight.

SS--Students are working on their Ancient Settlements and Structures Project. It is due Thursday along with their model.

Daily Update--Nov.14/12

ELA--The rest of the unit 4 vocabulary booklet is due Friday. The students need to get the novel comprehension tests for Chapter 2 and 4 signed and returned by tomorrow. Some have not yet handed in a signed unit 3 vocabulary test.

Math--AN assessment was handed out today, and it needs to be completed for tomorrow.

Science--The good copy of the lab report is due tomorrow.

SS--Begin research on your ancient settlement or structure. The project is due end of next week.

French--Comprehension and rough draft are due by Friday.

Health--3 point approach is due tomorrow.


I sent a letter home today outlining Parents' Day format for this year. Please choose 2 options for an interview time and return the sheet asap.

I will be away at a two-inservice tomorrow and Friday, so I will not be updating the blog. The students will be having homework though, so they need to write it all out into their agendas.

ELA--The unit 4 vocabulary section of Synonyms and Antonyms is due tomorrow. Get the Unit 3 vocabulary test signed and returned to school.

Math--Review your Mental Math Conversion chart in preparation of another quiz tomorrow.

SS--Finish notes on the readings of The Stone Age--pages 38-41 for tomorrow.

French--Comprehension is due Day 1.

Health--3- point approach is due.

8R-Science---The good copy of the lab report up to observations and the diagrams are due tomorrow.

Daily Update--Nov.12/12

ELA--Students need to read and go over chapter 4 of the novel as they will be writing a comprehension test on the events of that chapter tomorrow. We started vocabulary unit 4 today, so the synonyms and antonyms page is due Wednesday. Get Unit 3 vocabulary test signed and returned tomorrow.

Math--No homework tonight.

Science--We set up the Diffusion Lab today, so no homework unless students have not yet written up the good copy of the lab ending at Method.

French--Dictation tomorrow.

Health--3 point approach.

Tomorrow is the divisional volleyball tounament starting at 1pm and ending at 7.

ELA--The only homework is to read this weekend.

MAth--Students need to review their Mental Conversion Chart as I will give them a quiz on it on Monday. They need to be able to convert these fractions mentally.

Science--The Diffusion Flowchart from yesterday's short experiment is due Monday.

SS--Some yellow rubrics are not signed and handed in yet.

French--Dictee is on Tuesday. Comprehension questions are due Day 1. Poems are due Tuesday.

Health--The three point approach is due Day 6.

Health--3 point approach is due next Day 1.
